Summer Series #1 || Top 5 Summer Haircare Products

Today I am doing the first post in my Summer Series, which is a series of posts related to the Summer in collaboration with other bloggers. Today I am collaborating with Amanda from The Blonde so make sure you head over and read her post too!

Now I haven't gone crazy and I know there are 6 hair products in the picture but that is because two of them are going to go under the same category because I couldn't pick my favourite! Now onto the post.

First up, Coconut Oil. This is sold in many places but I love my one from Superdrug. This is currently on offer for £1.49 and is usually on a 2 for £3 offer. This comes as a balm because Coconut Oil is a solid at room temperature but I cut a bit out and put it in a bowl and microwave it until it turns to liquid, this also means that it can be used as a hot oil treatment which is even better for your hair. I find this is great and adds a lot of moisture to my hair, I leave this on overnight and then put conditioner on for 15 minutes in the morning before washing this off because I find that this way it removes the conditioner from my hair better. This is great for reversing the sun damage in Summer!

The next product is an anti frizz serum. I am one of those extremely lucky few with frizzy hair, and it is even worse in Summer so I like to use a anti frizz/climate control serum to try and combat some of the frizz. I really like this Lee Stafford one because it smells gorgeous, is very affordable and does a great job! It also makes my hair feel super soft and it prevents my hair from frizzing when I go into the sun.

Next is leave in conditioner, and I have two of these, this one which is a spray leave in conditioner and the next one that I'll talk about which is a cream. In Summer the sun is really harsh on your hair and you need to add as much moisture back into your hair as possible so I always make sure I use my leave in conditioner religiously! This also detangles to stop hair breakage when brushing through your hair after being in the swimming pool. This leave in conditioner smells gorgeous and really does its job, and my hair hates me if I forget to spritz this in after washing my hair!

Next is another leave in conditioner, but this time in cream form. I love this split end protection cream to try and reverse the sun and chlorine damage that leads to split ends. This also helps to smooth my hair and eliminate some frizz too which is great.

Dry shampoo is also super important, because the hot weather can mean that your hair gets greasier more quickly, so in between washes dry shampoo is great to refresh your hair. It also adds volume which is always a super popular look for Summer and helps to add texture to your hair. This is my favourite of the Batiste line because it smells so yummy, and I have repurchased this a countless number of times.

And last but not least, a hair oil. Another frizz battling product. I love to pop this in before I go out to try and get rid of some of the frizz and smooth down my hair. If the moroccan oil is out of your budget you could try the drugstore alternatives of which there are thousands! For example you could try the ones from Lee Stafford, Organix and L'Oreal.
