REVIEW || MUA Power Pouts

Whilst browsing my local Superdrug last week whilst searching for a primer for prom, I saw that these beauties were on 2 for £4! Usually retailing at £3 each. I had been wanting to try these for a while but kept putting it off thinking I don't need any more lip products, but then the offer drew me in and I bought 4. I picked up the shades: "Broken Hearted", "Rendezvous", "Justify" and "Irreplaceable". I liked the other 2 shades, but I didn't think I would wear them that much so I didn't pick them up.

Broken Hearted : Medium/Bright Pink.

Irreplaceable: Plum Toned Pink.

Justify: An orange/coral

Rendezvous : A Nude (however it is worth noting that this turns more of a pinky red - weird)

Texture:
These have a thick buttery texture, that is very smooth and glossy and makes them very easy to apply to the lips. They are also very moisturising and make my lips feel very soft and smooth after I have applied them.

Scent:
These have a minty scent, although this soon wears off after you apply the product. I personally really love the minty smell and when you first apply these they give a mild tingling sensation which I really like, although this is not to everyones tastes.

Wear Time:
Unlike most other lip crayons these are not marketed as a stain and are more similar to the Clinique Chubby Sticks, marketed as more of a glossy balm. You get about an hour or twos wear out of these, however they do slightly stain the lips and leave the colour behind for slightly longer. However, I love reapplying these because of the smell and how well they moisturise my lips!

Overall Thoughts:
I really like these and would definitely recommend them, they are very affordable and there is a shade for everyone. They look so beautiful and glossy when applied to the lips and the pigmentation is also very good.
I will definitely repurchase these, and I give them a rating of 4/5

Thanks for reading

  10. I have Broken Hearted and it's so gorgeous! One flaw I've noticed though is if it's even warm it starts to melt in the tube, which is a tad annoying but for £3 I can't complain!

    I really want to pick up Irreplaceable and Justify too as they're just perfect for summer and on the go. :)
