Lanolips Lip Ointment with Colour SPF15*

I have been wanting to try a lip ointment from the Lanolips range for a long time now, so I am so happy to have one to review!

This is the Lanolips Lip Ointment with Colour in 'Rose'
It is a lovely dusty pink for an everyday look and looks so nice and natural.
These also come in 4 other colours:

Apples - A juicy red apple, the colour of babies lips!
Sunshine - Sun kissed and vibrant for a summer's day
Dark Honey - A natural and sweet lip glow
Rhubarb - The prettiest fruity deep pink

So here is some background information about what's in these!
  • They are animal friendly, you can read more about what Lanolin is and how they get it here.
  • It is vegetarian friendly!
  • Contains over 60% Ultra-Pure Medical Grade Lanolin
  • The rest? Pure pigment, Vitamin E, some lovely natural oils and that's about it
  • Lip-smoothing benefits of lanolin, with a high gloss and high pigment colour
  • Also contains SPF 15 for sun protection, the perfect everyday product.
I am a massive lip balm junkie, and I have tried nearly every lip balm out there. I can honestly say this is one of the best lip balms I have ever tried! My lips are so unbelievable smooth after using this and you can feel this smooth and moisturised feel for your lips for a good few hours after applying the lip balm which is great because some lip balms make your lips feel moisturised whilst your wearing them, but then as soon as the product dissapears you can't feel this any more, however this product is not like that!

The tint to the lip ointment is great because it is a beautiful, natural rosey pink colour and gives a very glossy look to the lips. I think it is a great idea to incorporate this tint because it means you can wear this like a lip gloss and it is doing really good things for your lips at the same time.

I get really cracked, dry lips especially in the colder weather, but when I went out shopping yesterday my lips didn't feel cracked at all.

This ointment has a very thick texture to it, but once rubbed into the lips it goes away and feels smooth and glossy, but not sticky. You can get a good idea of the viscosity of this product from the swatch on my hand, and it is kind of like a body butter thickness, however it doesn't 'sit' on your lips.

I definitely recommend this to anyone who suffers from really dry lips, because it did miracles for me! I will definitely be looking into buying the other shades in this range.

They retail for £7.99 and you get 12.5g of product. They are available on Victoriahealth.com and in Boots stores.

Have you tried these?

  4. Ooooh I have this!

I really tried to like this but just couldn't. The texture is super thick! And hate that feeling on my lips.

I'm currently using Blitex Relief Cream for the lips, it's very lightweight and can feel it penetrating my lips. It feels amazing on the lips!
