Makeup Collection Part 1-Lipsticks

***Disclaimer*** This is in no way to brag about how much makeup I have, I understand that I have more than the average person and that is why I am breaking it down into sections, but I have collected this makeup over a long period of time and every item was either gifted to me by family or purchased with my own money. I am not bragging, I am posting this because I know I enjoy reading these on other peoples blogs.

Okay so here is Part 1 of my Makeup Collection - Lipsticks.

If you see any lipsticks that you would like me to review please leave a comment on this post & I will be more than happy to do so!

What's In My Carry On Bag?

Hi Guys!
My Carry On Bag

Here is the third post in my travel series! On the first flight I am flying on I am allowed two pieces of hand luggage, but on the second I am only allowed one. So I am just sticking to one piece. So here's what's in my carry on bag:

My phone & IPod

A Pack of Tissues

The 2nd & 3rd Book in the Hunger Games Trilogy

My Purse

My Long Haul Beauty Items
(If you want to see what's in here my post here)

A Bigger Bag
I always carry one of these incase my case is overweight and I need to put my stuff into a bigger hand luggage bag to take some of the weight out of the case.

Tangle Teezer

Gum
This helps to stop my ears popping and hurting when we take off/land

Natural Collection Moisture Shine Lipsticks Review

Sweet Pea

Rose Bud
Candy Mist

Apple Blossom

Candy Mist, Apple Blossom

Rose Bud, Sweet Pea

Price: £1.99 from Boots

What they say:
'High shine lipstick that gently moisturises the lips'

What I think:
I think that these lipsticks have amazing pigmentation and a great colour range for only £1.99! They apply easily to the lips and last a good 2 hours depending on which lip colour you use(the darker ones tend to stay longer) However I find these lipsticks to be slightly drying and not at all moisturising, but when worn on top of a lip balm this is not a problem. They tend to emphasise dry lips so make sure you have moisturised your lips prior to wearing these and if you have particularly dry lips then I wouldn't recommend these. They are not the most amazing lipsticks in the world but for the price they are a bargain and you can't really complain. My personal favourites are 'Sweet Pea' & 'Rose Bud' as I think these are the nicest colours and these two don't emphasise dry lips. I like 'Candy Mist' & 'Apple Blossom' but I feel like these emphasise dry lips more and are not as easy to apply. I think that the packaging isn't great but for £1.99 this is not a problem, and I think they do look quite nice and fresh but maybe not handbag material

Price: 4/5
Quality: 3/5
Packaging: 2/5
Repurchase? Yes, because of the wide selection of lipsticks, but they are not my favourite.

Top 5 Budget Fashion Websites!

I know that as a teen who has to buy her clothes with only a small amount of income it can be hard, I am always trying to keep up to date with the latest trends, and without fail every time I go into town I find something that I want to buy! However I have to refrain most of the time because I simply don't have enough money, or my money is needed elsewhere! I knew I needed to find somewhere that I could shop that won't drain my bank account and that I don't feel guilty for spending too much money on a top etc! I really love finding new websites that help me save money, as I like other people LOVE to grab myself a bargain!

So what are my top websites for fashion shopping on a budget?

  1. Ebay(www.ebay.co.ukEbay is an amazing place to shop for clothes, because so many people are trying to get rid of old unwanted clothes and you can find some real gems! You can search for exactly what you want and get it at a bargain price. Some items are in an auction and start as low as 99p(because this way there is no listing price for the seller) and on some buy it now items there is an option called 'Best Offer' meaning you can make an offer and if the seller likes it, that item's yours! Also many people don't know but many retailers have outlet sites, such as 'Superdry' where they sell their clothes at a fraction of the price just because they are last season!
  2. Fashion Vouchers (www.fashionvouchers.com) This site is great! Although they don't sell fashion items directly from their site they have free vouchers, codes & offers for all of the best stores such as 'New Look' , 'Miss Selfridge' etc. with great offers such as next day delivery or 50% off! Great way to save some £'s from all of your favourite retailers.
  3. Store 21(www.storetwentyone.co.uk) This store is so cheap! I can't even believe it! I often order from this site, and the quality of the clothes for the price is phenominal! They usually have a sale on and the prices start extremely cheap!
  4. Everything £5(www.everything5pounds.com) My friend introduced me to this site a while back after she was on the hunt for a budget dress for a party as she was extremely tight on money! I checked out this site and couldn't believe the deals, everything IS £5! Dresses, tops, shoes, bags the whole lot. They have a good selection of items that are extremely similar to fashion items you get from main stream stores1
  5. Crazy Clearance(www.crazyclearance.co.uk) This site gives you up to 75% off a range of wonderful clothes! They have dresses that retail for £50 that are down to £15! It is crazy! You save so much and it is just one of the best discount fashion websites I have ever found! I think this is great for people on a tight budget that want clothes that will last and that are worth more money that they have paid for them, and I would definitely reccomend checking them out!
This proves that you really don't have to pay a lot of money to look good! There are many bargain sites out there that not enough people know about. The other great thing about shopping online is it is convenient and you don't have to make a trip into town if you don't have time.

NOTD

After the positive response to my previous NOTD I thought I would do another one!

Long Haul Beauty

So I will start of with what is Long Haul? Long haul refers to flying, and it is when you are on a plane for a long period of time, by this I do not mean 2 hours, I mean 8 hours+. I fly long haul every year(usually 11-13 hours) and in this time the plane practically kills your skin. Because on an aircraft the air conditioning is recycled, and because of the pressure and lack of fresh air in the cabin for a prolonged period of time your skin loses moisture very quickly! For anyone else who has flown long haul before, you will know that your skin gets very dry and 'froggy'(couldn't think of another way to phrase it!) and your hair practically sticks to your head and goes super flat! So I decided to share what I do on a plane to prevent this from happening, and to looks as good as possible the other end.

This is the bag that I take everything in, it is a really convenient size for travelling and I love it!
  •  Firstly, I never wear makeup on a plane! If you can avoid it you really should. Sometimes I wear makeup to the airport and then remove it in the toilets before I get on the plane, and sometimes I don't wear any at all.
  • You should drink as much as possible, after getting through customs I always go and buy a big bottle of water, and drink it often when on the plane.

Holiday Series #1 -What's In My Travel Makeup Bag?

My Makeup Bag
So this year as some of you may already know I am off to Asia on my holidays. I am going to Singapore & then to a small Malaysian Island. However I have to pack super light! On the first flight to Singapore(where I am staying for a week) I am allowed 20kg which is fine, but because the flight from Singapore to the next Island is only a small flight we are only allowed 10kg of luggage! Which is hardly any, especially when all in all we will be on holiday for just over 2 weeks! We are going to have to pay some excess baggage but we have to keep it minimal, so I have had to only pack the bare essentials with makeup, this is why this makeup bag differs from my usual bag, these are my must haves! I am also only packing minimal makeup because I will be in the sea & the pool all the time so I will only be wearing makeup in the evening.

So on with the post!

Face:

  • Collection 2000 Fix Me Up Setting Spray- For in the evenings when I want my makeup to last in the hot climate.
  • Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer in Light- Because I won't get a tan straight away this will match me for the first few days when I want it
  • 17 Hide & Chic Concealer in Light Beige - This is for when I get a tan, at the moment this is way to dark for me!
  • Max Factor Lasting Performance Foundation in Natural Beige- I usually don't wear makeup on holiday, I only wear it in the evening, so I have taken a sample size foundation, and this is in 'Natural Beige' which will be the right colour for me when I get a tan. It is also long wearing which will be good for the climate.
  • Sleek Face Contour Kit- I love this product, and it is great for when you are packing light because it contains a bronzer & highlighter. I think bronzer is a must have for on holiday!
  • NYX Cream Blush in 'Glow'- This is a beautiful bright pink blush, and I think bright pink looks amazing with a tan so I am hoping to use this more on holiday as I don't get a lot of use out of it the rest of the year.

 Lips:

  • MAC Lipstick in Lovelorn- This is  a more wearable everyday colour which I will wear when I am going out.
  • MUA Lipstick in Shade 3- I always like to take a bright lipstick, and I think fuschia looks amazing with a tan so I think this will be amazing for the evenings.
Eyes:

  • Maybelline Colour Tattoo in 'Eternal Gold' - I absolutely love this because it is so easy to put on quickly, I couldn't be without this for 2 weeks! Also gold really enhances a tan so I thought this would be the perfect colour!
  • Eyebrow Stencil -  I love this so that I can get the shape of both my eyebrows even
  • Benefit Bad Gal Lash Mini - I always take a mini mascara on holiday because it takes up less room, I got this in glamour magazine and thought I would take it to try it out.
  • Rimmel Day 2 Night Mascara - I couldn't be without this mascara, it is fantastic! (I won't be taking this on holiday with me, but this is the mascara I would usually take in my makeup bag!)
  • Natural Collection Mascara in Clear - I use this to set my brows & I really like it. I love how it is not in clear packaging because when you use a brow gel/clear mascara they can look really grubby!
  • Sleek Brow Kit - This is my favourite thing to do my brows with, the two colours when mixed suit me perfectly!
