17 Berry Crush Lipstain in Bombshell

17 Berry Crush Lip stain In Bombshell(£4.99)

I think at £4.99 this is one of the cheapest lip stains out on the market. I had been wanting to try a lip stain for ages because I hate having to always apply lipstick throughout the day and after eating and drinking. I did not want one that dried my lips out though as I already have super dry lips, so when is saw that this was enriched with vitamin C for hydrated lips, and has a lip balm on the other end that you could apply throughout the day I decided to give it a go.

I picked this one up in Bombshell because the swatch looked like a pale wearable pink, and the packaging is colour coded to the colour. However this goes fuschia when on the lips! I don't understand what happened there, but never the less I love a fuschia lip so I didn't mind! I just don't get as much wear out of this.

Although this does dry your lips out a little bit it is nothing drastic and I am very impressed with the product. They have a nice shade selection ranging from light pinks, to fuschias, to reds. They apply very nicely and last all day! I mean all day, no need to reapply or anything! Even if you drink like a camel (which I do) this still stays on! Impressive eh? This applies nicely and because it is in a pen form it means you can also line your lips with this before you apply it which is great. This does not bleed outside on the lip line which is great as I find some products like this can.

Here are the swatches on my lips and hand. The camera hasn't picked the true colour of this up unfortunately. It is more of a deeper hot pink that is a lot brighter! But anyways.

Overall I am extremely impressed with this and would definitely recommend picking one up, I know I will definitely go back and get more!

What is your favourite 17 product?

  1. I've not delved into the world of lip stains yet as I thought they would dry out my lips too, and as a self-confessed vaseline addict I thought it was a bit of a dangerous move! I love the colour on you though, and what a bargain!

    1. Hhaa me too! I am addicted to my lip balms and battle against my dry lips but this really doesn't seem to dry them out! Thankyou, and yes! Some of them are sooo expensive! xx

  2. I also suffer form dry lips and a lot of lip products I buy tend to accentuate it so it's great to hear that there's one out there that doesn't! I tried out the Rimmel 1,000 Kisses lip tint which I found to be nice.

My latest post is a haul and features quite a few 17 products - if you're a fan of them you should check it out! xx

Oh yeah I will definately check that out! For a good brand I don't think it is mentioned enough on blogs/youtube.

  3. I have very dry lips as well. I tried the Maybelline Colour Sensational Lipstain, the colours were lovely but it was just too drying, so I'll definitely try this! x

  4. I've always been kind of wary of lipstains too as I was worried they would dry out my lips. This colour is absolutely gorgeous though! Will definitely be picking one of these up now :) xxx

  5. My lips get so dry that I haven't really used lipstains but I do like the colour :) I've been experimenting with the new flipsticks lately for Max Factor and am really liking them
