17 Nail Polish Review

I have long been a fan of 17 cosmetics, they are affordable and their packaging is absolutely gorgeous. The quality of the products are amazing and they have a large range of products which is great :D

Today I want to do a review on the 17 nail paints, because with summer coming up I am starting to paint my nails even more, so I thought a nail polish review would be a good idea.

L-r Cupcake, Toasted Almond, Knockout Red, Pink Grapefruit, Lilac Storm, Luau.
I have 6 of the colours and I would definately like to try more, so next time I am in Boots I think I will definately pick some more of these up. The 4 in the middle are the current packaging and the two polishes at either side are old packaging as I have had them for a few months. That is another thing I love about 17 cosmetics, they are always updating and improving their packaging :D Lovely.

These apply like a dream and last really  well!I always wear these with a topcoat as I do with all my nail polishes and I get a good few days wear out of them. You only need 2 coats and then you're good to go. I will now go into each colour individually.

This colour is 'Knockout Red' and this is possibly the most beautiful red ever. It is not too bright, and it is not orange toned (which I hate). It is just a deep red colour that looks very classy and can jazz up any outfit. I love wearing this colour to make things look more smart, or add a burst of colour. I think this shade is a must in any girls collection.

Pink Grapefruit is a vibrant pink colour that has some coral tones. This is absolutely amazing for summer because it really enhances a tan and looks beautiful on your nails and toes. This has to be one of my favourite nail varnishes for summer. It radiates neonity ;) I know that makes no sense but hey ho.

'Luau' Although I am not entirely sure how you pronounce this, this is a beautiful colour from the drugstore. I got this a year or so ago, and I love this for spring. It is a dark baby pink colour with subtle gold shimmer running through it. This is a great colour because it has dimension to it and there really is something quite special about this colour!

'Cupcake' is perfect for those days when you don't really want to look like you are wearing anything on your nails, but just want your nails to look special and that bit more glam and healthy. It is very sheer and has barley any colour pay off which is expected for such a light baby pink, so this is only for those 'au naturel' girls, not for anyone who wants to make a statement.

'Toasted Almond' is a frosty bronze colour and looks lovely on the toes with gladiator sandals. It also looks great on the nails and can be worn all year round. I love this colour because it is so wearable and beautiful, and I love gold and bronze nail polishes! I think they are universally flattering on all skin types.

'Lilac Storm' is a grey lilac colour with extremely fine purple shimmer running through it. This is more sheer than the other colours but looks pretty on and is just a nice natural wash of colour for the nails when you don't want anything too much. This is however hard to build an opaque colour with.

Do you like the 17 Nail Polishes?
