Bedding Inn || A review*

It is no secret that I love my bed all year round, but I especially love it in the Autumn/Winter time because there is honestly nothing better than getting all cosy in bed with a hot chocolate, a slice of cake and some YouTube videos or blogs to read! I spend a lot of time in my room and it is something I am very proud of because I designed it myself a few years ago and am super happy with it. Therefore, bedding for me is the icing on the cake in decorating a room. So today I am hear to introduce Bedding Inn to you all and more specifically talk about their holiday sale!

They are currently running 3 of the best holiday sales I have seen, with between 60 and 90% off their bedding which is a brilliant sale in my opinion, because I feel like nowadays so many companies idea of a sale is just a couple of pounds off!

I thought that to give you more of a feel for the company I would pick some of my favourite bedding items from this sale. So here are my top 3:

These are honestly some of the most beautiful bedding sets I have ever seen, they are so unique and beautiful and they have so much depth and reality to them. These are just 3 that I have chosen from the website from the holiday sales 2014 but there are so many more fantastic designs and it is definitely worth a look if you're interested!

Top 5 MUA Lipsticks

Hi everyone!

Sorry that this post wasn't up this morning, I had a power cut so couldn't come on to publish it! But here it is now. So with the hype for MUA dying down slightly I thought I would do my Top 5 Lipsticks from them. Personally, I don't like the MUA lipsticks with shimmer in them, only the creamy one so I have given about 15 of the shades I had away to friends, but here are the ones I love!

Shade 8, Shade 16, Shade 1, Shade 15, Shade 3

Shade 15
This is a sort of nudey peach and I absolutely love it! I can't wear a lot of nudes because they wash me out but because tho has a pinky-peach tone too it it adds some colour without being too much.

Shade 16
This actually looks super scary and orange in the tube but when swatched it is a much more glossy, sheer apricot colour and it super wearable. I think this is a great way to wear orange without it being too over the top.

Shade 8
This is a beautiful plum/berry and I'm looking forward to wearing this more again this Autumn. I cannot wear berry shades but for some reason this one suits me? I think it's because it is very cool toned?

Shade 3
This is a hot pink but quite wearable because it is more on the raspberry side of the pink family and I love it!

Shade 1
Another one which looks very scary and dark in the tube but it's a vampire/pinky red and is one of the only reds that actually suits me! I find this bleeds a bit without a lipliner but I always use lip liner nowadays so it's not a problem.

No7 Match Made Lipsticks

You may or may not have heard of the new release from No7, a match made lip service! I don't know about you, but I find choosing lipsticks really difficult, because I never know what will suit me and there are a whole array of colours (reds, hot pinks and brighter oranges, I'm looking at you!) that I would just never have considered, until now.

You may wonder why I am writing this post, but it is simply because I don't think there are enough posts in the blogosphere on No7 and I really think this brand is undervalued, and I think some people may not totally understand this concept, so I thought since I work at Boots and have been told everything there is to know, I would try and make it clearer for you all! And also show you 3 lipsticks I picked up of course...

I will start off showing you the 3 lipsticks I picked up so this doesn't look like a whole massive clump of text, and then I will explain the service and what happens!

Stay Perfect Lipstick in 'Blushing Tulip'

So there are 2 different formulas, 'Stay Perfect' a matte, semi-satin long lasting formula (of which I picked up 3) and the moisture drench lipsticks which are moisturising, glossy and thus less long lasting. I realised the error of my way in swatting these though, because I put a lip balm on before putting each on, they look glossy, so for reference of the finish the hand swatches are very accurate.

Stay Perfect Lipstick in 'Raspberry Blush'

Stay Perfect Lipstick in 'Rose Kiss'

This lip swatch is much more true to it's matte finish.

So those are 3 of my 3 matches and I think they match me  perfectly!

These stay perfect lipsticks are also fantastic, they last so long, leave a lovely satin/matte finish to the lips and you only need to reapply once in the day, they even last through eating and drinking which is amazing and at the moment they are by far my favourite formulation of lipstick. These are slightly during but nothing too bad and they won't crack your lips, and of course, you can put a lip balm over the top.

Here are my other matches:

So onto the process, No7 are getting rid of over 40 old lipstick shades, but keeping the Top 7 best-sellers and they have introduced 43 new shades to match as many skin tones as possible. They have spent time researching which colours match which skin tones, and they have corresponded shades from both the Stay Perfect and Moisture Drench line in with their foundation shades.

If any of you didn't already know, No7 already offer a match made foundation service where a small hand-held device takes a photo of your skin and matches it to your ideal No7 foundation shade, so now the No7 beauty advisor will take a photo of your skin and then it will come up with all the lipstick shades that are suitable for your skin tone in colour groups: light pink, dark pink, coral, natural, plum and red. Or if you already know your foundation shade you can pick up a card in store like I did which tells you your ideal lipstick shade. These shades are scientifically proven to work with your skin tone, although obviously hair colour and eye colour will come into play.

I think this is a brilliant idea and so fun too! I would definitely recommend going and having a look in store if you haven't already and get matched!

Top 5 Lipsticks for Autumn

Since the weather has taken a turn for the worse and it is getting colder, it appears Autumn is fast approaching which I am not going to lie, I'm super happy about! I love Autumn/Winter time because I love the darker colours, being able to snuggle up in a jumper with a coffee and most of all? I love Autumn/Winter makeup! So today I thought I'd do my Top 5 Lipsticks for Autumn which actually proved really really difficult, it would have been easier if I could do Top 20!

Collection Cream Puff in 'Cotton Candy'
This is a really nice transitional lipstick because it is quite a vibrant pink/berry colour and I absolutely love it! I also love the texture it gives on the lips, it applies as a cream and then dries to a super smooth velvet matte finish.

Kate Moss for Rimmel Lipstick in Shade 3
I wanted to include this nude in my Top 5 because I love wearing nudes in the autumn and this one is perfect because it is more browny/pink toned making it a warmer nude. Hand on heart this is my favourite nude of all time and one of the only ones that suits me!

Revlon Lipstick in 'Mystic Mauve'
This shade isn't coming up quite as mauve on the camera but it is a very wearable mauve/pink colour and I absolutely love it. For me it is a more sophisticated my lips but better colour because naturally I have quite red/berry toned lips.

L'Oreal Liquid Lipstick in 'Molto Mauve'
This is beautiful, especially in Autumn Winter because these are super moisturising and last a super long time for a gloss! It is a beautiful very wearable mauve because it is not too dark and it has very subtle shimmer which gives the most beautiful sheen to the lips.

MAC Lipstick in 'Capricious'
Again another berry tone, which is gorgeous! This is a lustre finish so is quite sheer and glossy which I think works really well for this colour, especially if, like me, a lot of purpley toned lipsticks don't suit you because it tones the colour down and brings more pinky tones into the lipstick.

I hope you've enjoyed this post!

Top 5 Autumn Products || *

Here are 5 beauty favourites I'm loving this Autumn, which have been inspired by the cooling weather, pumpkin lattes, and Raise.com a new site that lets you purchase gift cards from your favourite brands(US only I'm afraid, but loved the concept so thought I'd blog about it!) at a discount and sell old gift cards you don't want for cash! You can check them out over here

So onto my top 5!

Avon lipstick in 'Red Kiss'

I bought this a while back but just put it to the back of my drawers when it arrived because I thought it was too bold and too red, but I have been digging it out in the past few weeks and I have been loving it! I find that the only kind of red I can wear are these raspberry pink toned reds, and this one lasts ages, is very moisturising and glossy.

Sleek Palette in 'Oh So Special'

I always dig this Sleek palette back out in the Autumn Winter Months because I love its smokey autumnal colours. The shades I wear the most are the shades I have seated, the shimmery bronze on the top row, the charcoal brown and purple toned top on the bottom row, and the plum in the top right hand corner. The pigmentation of these shadows is brilliant and they blend beautifully!

Benefit Blush in "Rockateur"

This is definitely my favourite blush for Autumn because it is a medium, bronze toned rose and it really warms the face up and gives a glow due to the subtle shimmer which I love for winter!

No7 Instance Radiance Highlighter

I absolutely love a glowy look for Autumn and this highlighter is so beautiful and creamy. It really gives you a 'candle lit' sort of glow and I love it! It is sort of a pinky-gold highlighter which I think makes it perfect for Autumn.

Infalliable Foundation

I have been loving this recently because it gives a beautiful satin finish, not too matte but not as glowy as a summer foundation which I think makes it the perfect transitional foundation because I like to wear something a little more matte in the colder months. This is also lasts all day and looks flawless!

No7 Stay Perfect Shade and Define Eye Crayons | Review

Ever since starting my job at Boots a year ago now I have been making the most of the 22.5% discount off No7 in conjunction with the Buy one Get One Half Price and £3 off makeup offers to expand my collection, because as you can imagine this makes things a fraction of the price! One of the first things I picked up were these 2 eye crayons and I will definitely be purchasing some more of these whilst the No7 offers are still on because let me tell you now, these are fantastic!

I have 2 shades, 'Cool Mink' (left) and 'Glistening Ray'(right) which are both perfect everyday neutral colours as you can hopefully see from the swatches below.

The brilliant thing about these eyeshadows is that they are super quick and easy to use, you don't even need a brush! You can just swipe them over your lid and you're good to go. I wear Glistening Ray all over the lid on a daily basis to brighten up my eye and they last all day with a  primer.(I don't know how long they last without because I've never tried this!)

Glistening Ray also works beautifully as an inner corner highlight and I love to use Cool Mink in the crease. These are super creamy but they do not crease and they really do last.

These retail for £8 a piece, or £5 with the voucher. If you pick these up on Buy One Get One Half Price and use your £3 voucher you can pick these both up for £9! So basically buy one get one free!

Have you tried these? What do you think?
